Its official, next Wednesday, June 2nd, I am having knee surgery. I tried to prevent having to go to such extremes but it wasn't meant to be. I tried all the alternatives, icing, therapy, cortisone but none of them worked. I waited until events season was over so I can make a full recovery without having to worry about running around at an event. Now its on the calendar and I'm going to be on crutches for six weeks. Jeez. Six weeks seems like forever. I will hopefully, if all goes well, be back to my old normal self just in time for my 28th birthday.
I feel like such an old lady its ridiculous, who would have thought that I would need knee surgery, and I'm not even old! I'll be at mom and dads recovering, my grandma will be there babysitting me for lack of a better word. But at least I'll get to rest a bit, do plenty of studying and reading.
Here's to hoping everything goes well. :-(

That sucks :-( I hope the recovery is quick and painless!
Good luck, pookie :)
Looking forward to comical on-crutches photos...!
Heard something on NPR today about a man who does yoga regularly. He says many people go on and on about how they're "getting old" and that their bodies are giving out on them. He says, yes, of course his skin is starting to sag and all the stuff that comes with getting older...but, he looks at it from the opposite standpoint. He says, "I am amazed at the daily evidence of my body's continual striving to LIVE, and I am in awe of it's success." He's quadriplegic.
A thought to ponder.
