Smeldon, a hard working Beta died last night after he committed suicide and jumped out of his tank. He was dedicated to his job and his hobbies including filing, creating bubble nests and unfurling his fins. He is survived by his adopted mothers Jossie and Marisol and his birth mother Nicole. "It is a tragic loss, he was with us for two years. The office will never be the same without him." said Marisol.
This photo taken yesterday afternoon will be placed as a memorial to Smeldon next to his empty tank. Smeldon, in all his beautiful beta glory.

Wow he has been sick for a while now... cute fishy..
What is it with betas and their suicidal tendencies? A co-worker had one in his office that bailed out of his bowl one day. Somehow he was revived, but I'm not sure of the details. Some things you just don't need to know about your co-workers, ya know?
those things live long enough to wanna die?
Poor Smeldon! I had the same tank when I first got my one and only beta, Susie. She died as well...but different circumstances.
Sorry for your loss!
Awww, poor little smells.
I will always remember him for the guest appearance he made on my blog.
I just slapped my heart and screamed, "WHAT?!" Do you think that he was coming to help Sally and never made it past the table? Oh, I shall never forgive myself if that is the case! I knew you said Smeldon had been under the weather, but you just never know. *calming thoughts* RIP Smeldon.
P.S. I shall have a moment of silence for Smeldon at my post tomorrow.
I'm sorry this handsome guy had to leave so soon!
I'm sorry for your loss. Just keep the fond memories with Smeldon and he will live forever in your heart.
