And the exhaustion sets in

I am exhausted I had an all day, and I mean an all day event on Monday and it seems that I haven't recuperated yet. I knew that I needed to relax this weekend, not do anything crazy, party or drink heavily. SO instead I did what I do best. I went shopping.

Saturday being free comic book day meant we drove our asses all the way to Tates to love up some comics. My reasons for going were two-fold: 1) I wanted to get the Pride and Prejudice comic released by Marvel and 2) I wanted to get Volume 1 of the Edgar Allen Poe Trade that they didn't have last time.

Well guess what my friends, they didn't have either one of them. The owner was nice enough to order V.1 of Poe's comic for me but said that they wouldn't be getting P&P in until the Trade came out, meaning I will have to wait. What the eff!!! Did this deter me from spending money there, of course not. I left with about 12 trades ranging from Fables to Invincible and The Astonishing X-Men written by the brilliant Joss Whedon. Don't judge me, I know I am a dork. I definitely spent WAY too much money there, but at least I have comics to last for a while. Or at least I hope I do.

Sunday, I went to brunch with Mary, Vickie and Gabe and then went shopping with Vickie and Teresa and spent even more money before going to dinner at mom and dads. Overall a pretty mellow weekend. My wallet is hurting from all the excercise it got but it'll survive.

I needed all that excess energy for Monday, and I wish I could say it came in handy but really I feel like I was hit by a truck. Yesterday I came into work at 10:30 not even making an effort and fully violating dress code by wearing sandals. Fuck it. I was exhausted. Today I put a little more thought into my attire but even so I am wearing a t-shirt. And honestly, I dare them to tell me something. I am in no mood. When it gets this close to the end of my events season I am so run down that I count the seconds until my last event and the vacation that follows because I need to recharge my batteries.

May 21st can't get here soon enough.

Something tells me that with all the great and hard work you do, a t-shirt is the least of their worries! Rest while you can, and we'll count down the days with you~

There's a Pride and Prejudice comic??? I'm reading the novel now and I'm in love with it. I'll have to get my hands on a copy.
